AUTHOR POV

[KITCHEN AESTHETIC]

The kitchen of Singhania villa was big. Too big honestly. Everything clean, everything in its place, everything controlled.

It had never seen chaos before.

Until today. Totally chaos....

Himadari tucked her pallu and stand near the cabinet. She take a deep inhale and then looked at Veeranshu-" so, patidev mai kheer banati hu or ap baki ka khana or bartan bhi.. 50-50..okey"

•["So, mr. husband I'll make the kheer and you do the rest of the cooking and the dishes too.. 50-50.. okay?"]

Veeranshu was already there. Sleeves rolled up. Hands washed. Standing in front of the vegetables like they were case files.

He gave her a death glare..

Himadri looked at him and said -" kya! Kisko dara rhe ho? "..

•["Okay?! Who are you trying to scare?"]

Veeranshu lowered his gaze down while cutting veggies-" kisi ko bhi to nai ".

•[No one]

Himadri said wity firmness-" hmm ! Acchi baat h ".

•[Hmm. Good thing].

They stared to do cooking. Veeranshu was chopping the veggies while himadri adding milk to the kheer..

She was looking for sugar jar .. she turned around and found jar in a shelf.. she went towards it and open the shelf. She was struggling to take the jar . She stood on her tip-toes but unfortunately she didn't get the jar. She was struggling and then a hand came towads the shelf and take out the jar and handed her..

Himadri upper her gaze and found Veeranshu was there.. she said to him-" mai khud bhi le sakti thi"

•["I could've managed it myself too."]

Veeranshu with calm face said to her-" hmm. I know tum le sakti thi.. lekin jab . Jab mai nai rahu.. abhi mai yha hu or mai tumhe pershan nai dek sakta..

•["Hmm. I know you could have.. but when.. when I'm not around.. right now I'm here and I can't see you struggling."]

Himadri gave him a deadly glare-" achaa!! Ye juthi parwah tab kah gyi thi jab mujhe jabardasti shaddi kar rhe the ".

•["Oh! This fake concern - where was it when you were forcing me into a marriage?"]

Veeranshu looked into jer eyes and put his hand on her face-" tsk! Mrs. Singhania jabardasti krne ki wajah bhi ap thi. Agar aap aranv ki baat man jati to shayad mujhe apse jabardasti nai krni padti..Khair.

•["Tsk! Mrs. Singhania, you were the reason behind the force. If you had listened to Arnav back then, maybe I wouldn't have had to force anything."]

He removed his hand and went towards the countertop.. Himadri adding the sugar and kheer is ready . She take inhale-" ho gya! Ab baki ka kaam ap kareye"."Anyway."

•["Done! Now you handle the rest of the work."]

A tiny smile appear on Veeranshu's face . He didn't said anything. Himadri went infront of Veeranshu and sat on the chair..

Himadri peacefully watching her. She mumbled under her breath-" kya baat h yr bande ko sab kuch aata h

•["What the hell, this guy actually knows how to do everything.]

Veeranshu replied to her instantly like he head her -" hmm. Mrs. Singhania apka bande ko bhout kuch aata hai apne abhi dekha hi kha h".

•["Hmm. Mrs. Singhania, your husband knows quite a lot - you've barely seen anything yet."]

Himadri trying to defense herself instantly-" kya mene esa kuch nai bola. Chup chap se kaam kijiye.. ". She pointed towards the karahi and told him on focused on the panner or else it will burn out.

•["I said nothing like that. Now quietly get back to work."]

After a while himadri remember something and said to veeranshu-" Veeranshu you know what.. jab mai or meri dono dost sath meh rehte the to hamme hamesha ladai hoti thi ki kon bartan doyega. Ham teeno mai se himakshi ko thoda bhout khana bnana ata tha or namita .. bhai uska to pucho hi mat kaam kam khand jadya karti thi.."

•["Veeranshu, you know what.. when me and my two friends used to live together, we'd always fight about who'd do the dishes. Out of the three of us, Himakshi knew a little bit of cooking, and Namita.. don't even ask - she'd do the least work and cause the most drama."]

Himadri continuously yapping about her past memories with veeranshu and laughing like the main character..

VEERANSHU POV

I was admiring her peacefully thought that how she was beautiful , gorgeous. The way she laughed the silly talks . No one make this about crazy the way she made. I don't what she done but her eyes, lips, the incredible mole near the nose, the speces...

When I was cook food and she was yapping infont of me .. this give me a perfect husband-wife vibe. I know this was considering as a punishment to her .

But how this is considering a punishment for me. The man who loves her , who want her, who made her his wife, his life partner, lived the moment that a husband-wife live was actually living everything but no love in between them. Only farness. I love her but she don't.

I don't know how she reacts when she find out the truth. How Arnav will react when he found out everything. I don't afraid of anything but the moment that if she leave me forever after knowing the truth..

The thought is stuck I my head. I can't get rid off. When I was thinking about it someone shouted at me .

-"ooo! Mr. Devil I mean patidev"

I came back from my thought.

HIMADRI POV

I was peacefully sitting on the chair and told Veeranshu my memories about cooking with my friends.. when I noticed the water is boiling too much in the pot.

I shouted at him-"-"ooo! Mr. Devil I mean patidev".

Veeranshu instantly looked at the pot and sim the stove. I stand up and placed my hand on my waist and scold him -" bas ek kaam! Kaam bhi dhang se nai kar sakte tum. Kon khetha hai ki ye insaan singhania company ka ceo hai....Blah blah...

•["Just one task! And you can't even do that properly. Who says this man is the CEO of Singhania Company...."

"Blah blah blah...."]

Veeranshu quietly admiring her and listening her.

When I was scolding him someone shouted a loud -" bhaiyaaa ..."

AUTHOR POV

When himadri scolding Veeranshu. Someone shouted from behind-" bhaiyaaa".

And they are KIRTI and PREETI.

They both froze for a moment after seeing Veeranshu is scolding by a women. And they get more shocked when noticed Veeranshu just admiring her and didn't say a single word and wear a apron..

They both went infront of him -" bhaiya !! Ye kon hai??." Preeti asked in confusion.

•[Bro. Who is she?]

When veeranshu and himadri noticed them.

Veeranshu looked both of them with shock and asked with cold face-" tum dono yha kya kar rhi ho?".

•[ you both what are doing here?]

-" vo bhaiya ham to yha-" they about to say something but someone cut them in between the sentence-" are mai bhi hu yha beta ".

•[ Bro actually we-.they about to say something but someone cut them in between the sentence- I'm also here son]

She was none of RUKMANI DEVI . And behind her RITHVIK was holding some bags and came along with her..

Veeranshu came out from kitchen and went towards her and touch her feets.

Rukmani Devi blessed her -" jeeta reh".

He said with concern-" dadi! Ap yha . Koi kaam tha to mujhe bula lete mai aajata.. apko kitni dikkat hui hogi Anne me"..

•["Dadi! You're here. If there was any work, you could've just called me, I would have come. How much trouble you must've had coming all this way.."]

Rukmani Devi said sarcastically-" chup reh. Teri dadi jawan hai smjha. Or mai mere bete ke ghar nai aa sakti kya?..

•["Shut up . Your Dadi is still young, understood. And can't I come to my own son's house whenever I want?"]

She hugged him -" mera beta".

Veeranshu hugged her also and respond-" hmm. Ap jawan h or ap yha jab chaye tab aa sakti h".

•["Hmm. You're young and you can come here whenever you like."]

Rukmani asked to Veeranshu while pointed towards himadri -" ye kon hai beta".

Veeranshu looked at himadri and then turn around towards her dadi-" dadi mai ayya change krke . Fir milvata hu ap sabko usse."

•["Dadi, let me go get changed. Then I'll introduce you to her properly."]

Veeranshu removed apron and went towards his room..

Himadri stand quietly in corner and take the food herself on the dining table and start to adjust the table. After 10 minutes Veeranshu came back in tye same suit which he wore in morning.

He wants towards himadri and held her hands. Himadri gave a death glare to him and mumbled -" ye kya ho rha h ?."

•["What is happening right now?"]

Veeranshu gave smile to her dadi and mumbled to himadri-" thodi der pls ek acchi wife ki trh behave krna family hai vo meri unne doubt nai hona chaiye okey."

•["Just for a little while, please behave like a good wife - it's my family, they shouldn't have any doubts, okay?"]

Himadri looked at him with a death glare-" tum na pitoge"

•[."You're going to get hit."]

Veeranshu forced a smile to her -" please mrs. Singhania ".

They both went towards his dadi.. meanwhile preeti, kirti and Rithvik gave shocked reaction to eachother. Kirti said to both of them-" ye veer bhaiya hi haina yr."

["This is Veer Bhaiya, right?"They both nodded quietly and gave a smile to veeranshu. ]

Veeranshu and himadri stood . Veeranshu spoke -" Himadri ye meri dadi hai ".

And then he looked at his dadi and spoke -" aur dadi ye himadri hai. Meri wife..

•["Himadri, this is my Dadi."And then he looked at his dadi and spoke -""And Dadi, this is Himadri. My wife."]

The room went cold for a while. The words hit too hard to them to gave enough shock.

Himadri bent down and touched her feets-" namaste dadi."

Rukmani held her by her shoulders and lift her upper-" hamhare yha betiya per nai chuti gale milti hai". She hugged her and blessed her..

•["In our home, daughters don't get hugs from afar - they get them up close."]

Veeranshu looked at Preeti, Kirti and Reyansh and said to himadri-" himadri aur ye KIRTI, PREETI AUR REYANSH hai. Mere chachu aur chachi ke bacche."

Himadri greet hello to them with soft voice-" hello. "

They also greet her . Preeti said to himadri-" bhabhi ap kitni sundar lag rhi ho".

•[Sister in law you looking so pretty]

Himadri smiled at her -" i know . Thank you."

Veeranshu said to them to do lunch with them . They just prepared before a while.

The all sat on chair. Veeranshu pull the chair for himadri and asked her to sat on it. She say quietly on chair and then veeranshu sat on chair. Preeti, kirti and Reyansh looked at eachother with shocked face.

They stared to serve the food and start eating. While himadri said -" oh ! Mai kheer lana bhul gyi".

•[Oh I forget to bring kheer].

She was about to stand but veeranshu stopped her and said to her -" mai lata hu . Tum bhaitho aram se." He stand from his chair while himadri said to him-" vo stove ke pass ek bowl me bhi kheer rakhi h vo bhi lete anna. "

•["I'll get it. You sit, rest."

He stood up from his chair while Himadri said to him -

"There's also some kheer kept in a bowl near the stove, bring that too."]

Preeti said to kirti in teasing tone-" kirti ! Tereko pta hai ajkal log jouru ke gulam bante fir rhe hai yr." Himadri who take glass to drink water she chocked the water. Kirti and preeti laughed hard.

•["Kirti! You know what, these days men are just running around being slaves to their wives, yaar."]

Rukmani also laughed a little while Veeranshu's smirk towads Himadri and replied to them-" Apni biwi ke liye gulam to kya ; chor bhi ban jao mai ".

•["I'd become a slave for my wife - what am I saying, I'd even become a thief."]

Everyone looked at himadri with teasing smile. Rukmani said to himadri-" hamhara veer bhout kush naseeb h jise tum mili"

•[."Our Veer is very lucky to have found you."]

Himadri still held glass in her hand and gave a forced smile.

Veeranshu came back after a while with kheer. He placed the bowl and the pot. Himadri server kheer to all. And placed the bowl which he brings near to him.

They stared to eat the food. Rukmani asked to veeranshu-" vese VEER! Tune shadi ki lekin btaya bhi nai hame ".

•["By the way, Veer! You got married but didn't even tell us."]

Veeranshu looked at Rukmani and reply her with calm face-" hmm. Dadi sab itna jaldi hua ki btane ka mauka hi nai mila".

•["Hmm. Dadi, everything happened so fast that there was no chance to tell anyone."]

Rukmani nodded to him and said -" Khair. Ye chod parso tujhe pta hai na Devraj or Padmavati ki anniversary hai".

•[""Anyway. Leave all that. Day after tomorrow, you know that, right - it's Devraj and Padmavati's anniversary."]

She take a deep inhale and then -" aur har saal, har couple ki anniversary par ,ghar mai Satyanarayana ji ki puja ki jati hai to parso bhi hogi. "

•["And every year, on every couple's anniversary, a Satyanarayana puja is held at home - so the day after tomorrow it will be held too."]

Veeranshu nodded his head and reply-" hmm .. mai aur himadri aa jayege dadi".

•["Hmm.. Himadri and I will be there, Dadi."]

Rukmani passing smile towards him. Their food is almost finished. Now they are trying the kheer. Rithvik take a bite of kheer and stop . After a while he replied-" bhabhi this is super delicious. Ese kheer to badi maa bnati thi".

•[ "Bhabhi, this is absolutely delicious. Dadi used to make kheer just like this."]

Himadri said with happiness-" thank you.. vese badi maa means Veeranshu ki mummaa. I mean mumma".

•["Thank you.. and by the way, 'Badi Maa' means Veeranshu's mother. I mean, Mumma."]

The environment went cold. Rukmani spoke-" vo beta .. Padmavati or devraj iss duniya meh nai h hai".

•[ "She, my child.. Padmavati and Devraj are no longer in this world."]

The dining environment went again cold. Himadri break the environment while calling to veeranshu-" veeranshu tum ye kheer nai khaoge??".

•["Veeranshu, won't you eat the kheer?"]

Preeti interrupted while saying-" bhabhi ! Bhai meetha nai khate".

•["Bhai doesn't eat sweets, Bhabhi!"

Himadri face is tured dull and she made o expression -" accha! Mene itni mehnat se banayi thi koi baat nai."

•["Oh! I made it with so much effort.. never mind."]

She was taking the bowl back but veeranshu caught her wrist and said with cold eyes-" rak do .. aaj kha luga meh".

•["Keep it.. I'll eat some today."].

Kirti said in teasing tone-" kya baat h bhai . Shaddi ka khauf dik rha h ".

•["Wow bro. The fear of marriage is showing.]

Rukmani Devi said to kirti in teasing tone-" haan to biwi se to darke rhena hi chaiye . Biwi laxmi hoti h or hamhari to devi hai".

•["Ha! One should always be a little scared of his wife. A wife is Laxmi, and ours is a goddess herself."]

Veeranshu take the bowl back and take a full spoon of kheer and then he instantly looked at himadri.

Himadri noticed his reaction and trying not to laugh. She asked innocently-" kesi bani h Veeranshu kheerrr".

•[How it is made]

Veeranshu sclup bite hardly and said with normal expression -" bhout acchi hai. "

•[Super tasty].

Himadri said teasingly to him-" fir to app or lijiye".

•[Then you should have to taken more].

Veeranshu refused to jer -" nai mai pehle hi aj sugar consume karli ab or nai".

•["No, I've already had enough sugar today, can't have more."]

Himadri trying not to laugh. Veeranshu ate the whole kheer. Everyone is ready to went back. Rukmani called himadri near to her and said in ear-" beta. Veer khabhi indian nai phenta . Meri iccha hai ki tum is puja par use kurta-pajama phenna kar lao. Mujhe tumse ummid hai himadri ".

•["DAUGHTER. Veer never wears Indian clothes. It's my wish that you make him wear a kurta-pajama for this puja. I have hope from you, Himadri."]

Himadri nodded her head-" dadi mai puri kosih karugi ".

•[ I'LL try my best]

Rukmani hugged her and they all went to mansion.. himadri turn back found Veeranshu glare at her. He was about to say something then his phone rang he picked the call . After a while he cut it and said to himadri-" meri meeting hai to mai jata hu ".

•[i have meeting, so I will go].

Himadri nodded her head innocently not to try laughing...

Veeranshu went to his office for meeting...
